Backs Bend Easy
Moses parted Lake Michigan and
I began drinking His saliva from
Rumplestiltskins basin
Foam pooled in the corners of
Herpes lips
Pressing kisses to whip
lashes on His back
Climbing up each weak branch
With senile limbs
Each splinter duplicating my
Adoration
That falls from beneath shoes
shined with His
Diseased spit
Forked road tongues
efficient in falling
the fourth titanium fleck of
Flogging
Now
An invertebrate at the peak
With knobby knees pressed
against
His emaciated chest
Peels back translucent skin
To reveal the tooth fairy
Wings
that protrude out of His
Obsidian spine
